The Stokesley circuit is situated on the north edge of the North York Moors National Park and comprises a mix of thriving towns and smaller rural villages.
The circuit comprises six churches with the two largest having memberships over 100. We are currently supported by a team of ordained and lay staff and many volunteers.
Our circuit mission statement is 'Growing and serving in Christ'.
We are committed to discipleship and have just begun a two-year Holy Habits discipleship adventure. Through this we are dedicated to deepening our personal relationships with God, relationships within our churches and Circuit and in the wider communities in which we serve.
Each presbyter has pastoral charge of 3 churches, however, we seek to work collaboratively over the whole Circuit as a team.
Some of our churches have now reopened for private prayer. Please see the news section below for details of which churches are open and when.
We are working towards the beginning of August to reopen for worship. This needs to be done safely and our Church Councils, volunteers and Safeguarding Officers are considering how safe our churches and practices can be. We will keep you updated on opening for worship, how communion will be taken and any other details as and when we have it. It may be that not all churches will reopen at the same time.
Some of our social gatherings and prayer groups continue online. Please see the Circuit calendar for dates of regular meetings and prayer groups, along with who to contact to join them.
Each week there will be Worship at Home resources and links to live online services from our Ministers, we hope that you can join us.
