The Stokesley circuit is situated on the north edge of the North York Moors National Park and comprises a mix of thriving towns and smaller rural villages.
The circuit comprises six churches with the two largest having memberships over 100. We are currently supported by a team of ordained and lay staff and many volunteers.
Our circuit mission statement is 'Growing and serving in Christ'.
We are committed to discipleship and have just begun a two-year Holy Habits discipleship adventure. Through this we are dedicated to deepening our personal relationships with God, relationships within our churches and Circuit and in the wider communities in which we serve.
Each presbyter has pastoral charge of 3 churches, however, we seek to work collaboratively over the whole Circuit as a team.
Services currently suspended
It is with sadness that worship services in Methodist Churches are suspended for the time being in line with Government guidance. This means that the churches in the Stokesley Methodist Circuit will not be open for usual worship and services. We know that this is an incredibly difficult time and we are seeking new ways of worshipping at home and continuing the life of church without being physically present in a church. Please look below on the featured news section for at home worship resources.
We're hoping to bring you a Prayer Wall and regular reflections and prayers from our local preachers and Ministers very soon.
We are part of the Darlington Methodist District and the wider Methodist Church in Britain
