THY KINGDOM COME BEACON EVENT
Durham Cathedral
Sunday 20 May 2018
7pm
A global prayer movement, which invites Christians around the world to pray between Ascension and Pentecost for more people to come to know Jesus Christ. What started out as an invitation from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York in 2016 to the Church of
England has grown into an international and ecumenical call to prayer. Durham Cathedral is once again taking part, culminating in a large scale 'Beacon Event' on Pentecost.
Join us for one of the nationwide Beacon Events with worship celebration featuring Dave Bilbrough leading worship, Bishop Paul speaking, ecumenical leaders and friends, Christian Aid, 24-7 Prayer International, Cranmer Hall; hopefully a capacity congregation.
A free service although booking is required, this can be done online here, at the Cathedral's Visitor Desk in person or by phone on 0191 338 7178. Anyone wishing to bring a group must book directly with the Visitor Desk.

Val Sonley came to the breakfast and shared with us a bit about her job. Val is a Co-op Member Pioneer. Her role is connecting people in the community; linking needs with...

Stokesley Remembers
Stokesley Bear: Fri 23 Nov 2:32pm

The memory is a funny thing, I've found. If I don't make a note of something I need to do, I find that I forget to do it. On the other hand, I remember things that I don't need to do anything about. Yet again, I when I do remember things, I sometimes remember them incorrectly. On the weekend of 10-11 November, it was difficult to forget that, as a country, we marked a hundred year...
