On Saturday 12 August, Stokesley Methodist Church held a special coffee morning to raise funds for Methodist Women in Britain Project. There were butterflies everywhere you looked: on the tables, on the gifts for sale and even on the cakes! Stokesley Bear was on hand to give a tour of the new circuit website. He was well looked after and was given a slice of chocolate brownie and cup of tea for his troubles.
All proceeds went to the District MWiB projects 2016/17 supporting the work of the Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre, Cargo Fleet, Middlesbrough and the work of The Samaritans.
Stokesley Methodist Church has a regular coffee morning on Saturday from 10am till 11.30am for all passers-by and shoppers to drop in and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with some home-baked treats. This is a chance to rest and meet friends for a chat and good company. Takings go towards church funds except for special charity mornings.
